Mélyssa Brunet

With over 12 years of law firm administration experience, it was time for a change. The goal was no longer to help one business owner, it was time to have the opportunity to help many business owners.

Before opening Tandembooks Inc. in 2018, I obtained a Law Clerk diploma from Algonquin College in 2007 and jumped on the first employment opportunity I had. Working in Family law while learning the ins and outs of a business was exciting. As time went on, I realized that helping the owner with the administration of her law firm was what I thrived on most. This led me to obtaining a Business Administration diploma from La Cité collégiale in 2011, where I concentrated my courses on accounting and finance.  

I now reside in Rockland, where I had the opportunity to learn from another business owner. This time, managing the day to day operations of a law firm as well as working in many different areas of law. My favorite was corporate law. Working with corporate clients was the ultimate push to launching Tandembooks Inc. The trust they had for their advisors, the appreciation they had for the assistance that was given to them and the compassion they showed for the venture was inspiring.   

I thrive on helping entrepreneurs save time with the operation of their business. Allowing them to work ON their business and not IN their business. My main focus is helping my clients achieve their accounting goals and assuring that they have the proper systems and procedures in place, as well as the support they need to keep their financials in order.  

Besides my passion for what I do, I love to travel with my family, spending as much time as we can discovering the world and its wonders. On a day-to-day basis, we keep busy with our two Australian shepherds and our cat Phoenix.
